Action in the Southwestern Athletic Conference resumes this weekend, and it hasn't arrived without a bit of drama. After a disappointing 1-6, Southern fired coach Terrence Graves and promoted former Alcorn State coach Fred McNair to take on the job in the interim.

The premiere matchup of the conference this week kicks off in Birmingham in the Magic City Classic between in-state rivals Alabama A&M and Alabama State.
