TRAVERSE CITY — The Bay Area Transportation Authority Board of Directors has accepted the resignation of Executive Director Jeff Meilbeck, who joined the agency earlier this month.
Per an Oct. 23 news release from the BATA, Meilbeck began his role Oct. 1 and officially resigned during the board’s Oct. 23 meeting to focus on his family in Arizona.
Chris Davis will serve as interim executive director while the board restarts its search for a new leader.
“We understand Mr. Meilbeck’s reasons for his resignation and support his decision to focus on his family,” said Wayne Schmidt, chairman of the BATA Board of Directors. “BATA’s Board will now re-focus its efforts and dedication to finding a new leader for the agency.”
