NAMPA — No one in the 6A Southern Idaho Conference has come close to challenging Skyview this season.

The Hawks lost only one set to a conference foe this season on their way to a 12-0 league record — the ninth time in the last ten seasons they went unbeaten. The only team that managed to score that one set victory over Skyview was Rocky Mountain, who they faced in the District III championship Thursday night.

The Hawks went back to their dominant ways, winning 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-15) to win their 15th-straight district championship at Ridgevue High School. No team in the Treasure Valley — whether it’s been in 6A or 5A — has been able to slow down Skyview (24-5) for most of the 21st century.
