NAMPA — Blue Oyster Cult has a lyric that best describes the 38th annual Downtown Nampa Trick-or-Treat event Thursday evening in its downtown core: Don’t fear the Reaper.
Besides the Angel of Death, which was among the scariest costumes, a few scary-ish clowns and fun pumpkin-headed skeletons, the costumes were more colorful and playful.
Even if you do fear the reaper, Sonic the Hedgehog and Winnie the Pooh will save you. There were plenty of people dressed as those heroic and sweet characters. If they needed help, the giant Pikachu and Eric Cartman were there. Anyone who knows Cartman knows to respect his authority.
It’s a good thing those folks were there. The weather, family-friendly feel, and the shared cheer throughout downtown Nampa made for the largest Downtown Nampa Trick-or-Tre
