HARVARD, Ill. — Pre-trial release has been denied for a McHenry County man accused of setting fire to a car in the northwest suburbs moments before a police standoff earlier this month.
Aidan O’Donoghue, a 24-year-old Harvard resident, has been charged with one felony count of arson in connection with the incident, McHenry County State’s Attorney Randi Freese announced Thursday.
According to Freese, the incident allegedly unfolded on Oct. 13 in unincorporated Harvard.
Video footage presented as evidence in court on Thursday allegedly shows O’Donoghue unlocking and entering the driver’s side of a vehicle on the scene before he walked around to the other side of the car.
