Windsor police say a 67-year-old man is recovering from a head wound after allegedly being assaulted on the city’s east side.
The injuries are described as non-life-threatening.
According to authorities, it happened around 2 p.m. Tuesday on Oliver Road — not far from the intersection of Pillette Road and Tecumseh Road East.
Police say the victim was walking down a street when he was chased by a young scooter rider.
“The youth kicked the victim from behind, causing him to fall and strike his head on the ground,” police said in an online statement.
After reviewing surveillance footage in the area, a 16-year-old boy was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm.
