PICKENS COUNTY, S.C. —
A bridge in Pickens County, South Carolina, was closed Friday following a recent inspection.
Pickens County authorities said the South Carolina Department of Transportation has determined the bridge on Rice Road (S-39-90) over Rices Creek in Pickens County needed to close Friday morning. The county did not say why the bridge needed to be closed.
The time frame for the bridge reopening is not known.
Detour Route for Northbound Traffic on Rice Road (S-39-90): Motorists traveling northbound on Rice Road (S-39-90) will be directed to take Gentry Memorial Highway (SC-8) west and turn right onto Cedar Rock Church Road (S-55). This will bring them back to Rice Road (S-39-90).
