SCHUYLER COUNTY, N.Y. (WETM) – The Schuyler County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's assistance in finding a woman who reportedly went missing in mid-October.
36-year-old Stephanie M. Kemp was reported missing on Wednesday, Oct. 22, as stated in a release from the sheriff's office.
Officials say it was learned that Kemp had last been seen in the Village of Watkins Glen on Monday, Oct. 13. Reports further noted that she was suspected to be in the Hector National Forest.
On Thursday, Oct. 23, officials say that members of the sheriff's office, along with New York State Forest Rangers, Amigo K-9 and Laurel Mountain K-9 search and rescue, completed an extensive 13-hour search of the forest, finding no evidence that Kemp was in the area.
