The votes have been tallied and the boys winner of the Vermont Varsity Insider Athlete of the Week powered by Delta Dental is ... Rowan Behan of Mount Anthony football.

Behan collected 47.97% of the 47,808 votes cast in the boys contest . Behan was nominated after he knocked through the go-ahead field goal from 25 yards out with half-a-second left as Mount Anthony edged rival Brattleboro, 9-7, to claim the Elwell Trophy. He also had an interception on defense.

The online voting at burlingtonfreepress.com began Monday, Oct. 20 and closed Thursday, Oct. 23.
