Nobody likes an obnoxious fan.

You’ve seen that open seat next to you in Bryant-Denny or Jordan-Hare, hoping it stays that way until moments before kickoff when some rival fan who’s had a few stumbles into it.

You now spend most of the game holding your breath, stopping yourself from saying or doing something you’ll regret. More often than not, they’ll leave early because your team has blown them out after three quarters. But if it goes the other way, things can go south in a hurry.

For the most part, fans love interacting with the opposition. They welcome them into their tailgates to break bread. They laugh, hug and high-five. They harmlessly poke fun and even drop the obligatory “Y’all come back next time!”
