HARBOR SPRINGS — Career and Technical Education instructors from across Michigan got a firsthand look at marine industry careers through a new educational initiative hosted by the Michigan Boating Industries Association and the Marine Trades Institute.

The Oct. 23 event included tours of Irish Boat Shop and Walstrom Marine in downtown Harbor Springs, designed to help instructors better understand career pathways in the marine trades. Organizers said the goal is to bridge the gap between education and industry while providing insight into opportunities in marine technology, systems, sales, and management.
