CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. ( WWSB ) - The investigation of the office-involved shooting that killed a man during an incident at Saxony Circle in Deep Creek on September 3 is now being handled by the State Attorney’s Office.
According to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, internal findings related to the case have been provided to prosecutors, and the Florida State Attorney now leads the investigation.

The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on September 3 after a Charlotte County Sheriff Deputy opened fire on a man during a criminal mischief call.
