Saskatoon police have again laid charges in last week's crash on the University Bridge.
Shortly after the crash on Oct. 15, police said they had arrested a 37-year-old man and charged him with dangerous driving, impaired driving and evading police. But the next day, they said he was released without charges and admitted to hospital under the Mental Health Services Act.
One week later, on Thursday, police said they went to the hospital and charged the man with dangerous driving, impaired driving, failing to stop for police, refusing to provide a blood sample, possession of a controlled substance and breach of probation.
The crash on the bridge ended a police chase that began on the morning of Oct. 15 when reports came in about an erratic driver.
