West Lothian rush hour drivers have been warned of delays after an M8 crash on Friday afternoon.

Around 4.40pm on October 24, emergency services rushed to the M8 J4 at Whitburn, with the route partially blocked Eastbound due to the incident.

The exact number of vehicles involved is currently unknown. It's also unclear whether there have been any injuries.

Police officers and paramedics are at the scene.

Images captured on traffic cameras show tailbacks, with drivers warned of delays of around 15 minutes on approach.

Traffic Scotland wrote on X: "M8 J4 Whitburn. Partially blocked Eastbound due to a collision.

"Emergency services are at scene. Approx 25 minute delay on the approach."

Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance have been approached for comment.
