After spending Friday afternoon exploring Canton (population 7,000), I ventured into Potsdam (population 8,100) on Saturday before the game.

The first stop was Walker Arena, home of Clarkson hockey from 1938 to 1991. The building is now a lacrosse practice facility.

Like many old arenas, there is more seating on the ends (eight rows) than the sides (three rows). The press box hangs over the stands. You have to climb a ladder to enter.
