GREENSBORO, N.C. — Former Grimsley High School standout and current NFL player DJ Reader returned home Friday morning to give back to the school where his athletic journey began.

Grimsley dedicated its new Reader Performance Center in honor of the 2012 graduate, who funded the space. Reader was a star in high school football, basketball, and baseball before heading to Clemson and then the NFL. He's now in his 10th professional season, playing his second with the Detroit Lions.
