Houston police are investigating the death of a man who was found hanging by a rope from a highway with burns from a possible fire.
The man, who has not been identified by authorities, was between 40 and 50 years old, according to a Friday morning news release from the Houston Police Department (HPD). He had been found at around 10 p.m. Thursday near 7600 North Loop East in northeast Houston.
The Houston police and fire departments responded to the underpass of the highway. An HPD spokesperson told Houston Public Media the man was found hanging from a rope and that he had burns on his body. It was not immediately clear whether the man was on fire when he was found.
