PITTSBURGH —
Steelers vice president Art Rooney Jr., the team's longtime personnel director, is a candidate for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Rooney was one of 21 candidates announced Friday in the "contributors" category. Last year, Rooney was one of nine semifinalists. Advertisement
Employed by the team since 1961, Rooney was instrumental in drafting some of the biggest names ever to wear black and gold. He currently serves on the board of directors.
The contributors committee will vote again to whittle the list from 21 to nine semifinalists which will be announced in early November.
Only one will be chosen from that nine. This content is imported from Twitter. You may be able to find the same content in another format, or you may be able to find more information, at their web sit
