Miller football freshman quarterback Jayden Herrera had a record-setting night against King in a 70-18 win at Buc Stadium.

Herrera finished with nine touchdowns passes in the win, eclipsing an eight-touchdown effort from former Miller quarterback Jaedyn Brown against Brownsville Hanna in the playoffs in 2021.

The freshman connected with six different Bucs for touchdowns in the win, which places him second all-time in single game touchdown passes in the Coastal Bend.

Refugio's Travis Quintanilla holds the record with 10 touchdown passes against Taft in 2012. Stamford's Peyton Bevel owns the state record, throwing 12 touchdowns against DeLeon in 2018.
