The City of Kitchener is offering free game watch parties for baseball fans to cheer on the Toronto Blue Jays in the World Series.
“Kitchener is a city that celebrates together, and what better time to unite as Canadians than to cheer on our Toronto Blue Jays in their first World Series in 32 years,” said Mayor Berry Vrbanovic, in a statement.
While the watch parties are free to the public, the Food Bank of Waterloo Region will be on site at the Aud for Game 2 against the Los Angeles Dodgers to collect non-perishable food items and monetary donations from fans who are able to give.
Game 1 on Friday will be shown at the Stanley Park Community Centre, from 7:30 to 11:55 p.m. Game time is 8 p.m.
Game 2 on Saturday will be shown at the Aud, doors open at 7:30 p.m., with first pitch at 8:08
