Two police officers were hit by a vehicle in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, sources confirmed with NBC10.

The incident occurred on Friday around 12:50 p.m. near the Double Tree Hotel on Hickory Road between Narcissa Road and Germantown Avenue, according to the sources.

The sources said Plymouth Township police officers were investigating an erratic and suspicious driver in the area. The driver then fled the scene and crashed into a car, striking the two officers, the sources told NBC10.

Both officers are being taken to local hospitals, according to the sources. Officials have not yet revealed their conditions or if the driver is in custody.
