PLYMOUTH TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Two police officers were injured Friday after authorities say they were struck by a driver outside a hotel in Montgomery County.

The incident occurred around 12:39 p.m. near Hickory and Narcissa roads, following a report of an erratic driver in a white SUV. Police located the vehicle minutes later in the parking lot of the DoubleTree hotel.

According to investigators, the suspect intentionally backed into an officer upon arrival. When the officer exited his vehicle, he fired his weapon as the suspect allegedly drove directly toward him.

Deputy Chief Thomas Nolan of the Montgomery County Detectives said the suspect then drove through the parking lot and returned, striking the officer three more times.
