The Indian advertising world lost one of its brightest creative minds as Piyush Pandey, the man who gave Indian ads their soul and identity, passed away on Thursday at the age of 70. Fondly remembered as the “face of modern Indian advertising,” Pandey’s work left an indelible mark on both brands and audiences.

SRK’s Emotional Tribute

Among the many who paid tribute was Shah Rukh Khan, who shared a heartfelt message on X (formerly Twitter). Posting a picture of Pandey, the actor wrote, “Working and being around Piyush Pandey always felt effortless and fun. Was an honour being part of the pure magic he created. He carried his genius so lightly and revolutionised the ad industry in India. Rest in Peace my friend. Will miss you lots.”
