Shillong, Oct 24: The 17th edition of the Rozgar Mela was held here today at the State Convention Centre as part of the nationwide initiative to provide employment opportunities to the youth.

Fifty-eight youths were handed over appointment letters across various central government departments, including 16 candidates in the Department of Posts, three in NEEPCO, two in the CRPF, 27 in the Railways and 10 candidates in State Bank of India.

Union Minister of State Pabitra Margherita was the chief guest.
