WEBSTER TWP., MI — The Dexter area is expected to see construction of a roundabout - separate from one already announced - in 2027.
The Washtenaw County Road Commission secured more than $1.1 million in federal funding to construct a new single-lane roundabout at what is known as the “Five Points” intersections at Huron River Drive and Joy and Mast roads in Webster Township, just north of Dexter city limits.
The roundabout will be “peanut-shaped,” covering two intersections spaced closely apart, according to a release.
“This roundabout will address a key traffic bottleneck while supporting our long-term goals for safer, more sustainable transportation,” project manager Kevin Dubnicki said in a statement.
