When the Cleveland Browns selected DE Myles Garrett with the first overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft, it was seen as a no-brainer. Little did anyone know that a potential GOAT quarterback was in that same draft, QB Patrick Mahomes, but, at the time, Garrett was the sure thing, “everyone would take him first” player in that draft class.
Since then, Garrett has been everything he was advertised to be coming out of college.
According to a large sample of league personnel, Garrett is by far the best defensive ends in the NFL in his ninth season in the league. In eight and a half years, Garrett has amassed an amazing resume: • 107.5 sacks • 126 tackles for loss • 210 QB hits • 20 forced fumbles • 17 passes defended • 6 fumble recoveries • 2023 Defensive Player of the Year • 6
