OGDENSBURG, N.Y. (WWTI) - Two people were arrested after a traffic stop, allegedly found more than a pound of cocaine on Thursday morning in St. Lawrence County.

Ogdensburg Police pulled over a vehicle for speeding on Thursday morning on Route 37 in the town of Morristown.

Authorities allegedly found more than one pound of cocaine during a subsequent search.

Police arrested 48-year-old Carlos Puello of Ogdensburg and 26-year-old Brookelyn Vanbrocklin of Canton, and both were charged with first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

The pair was arraigned in Morristown Town Court and are being held in the St. Lawrence County Jail.
