A snowplow equipment manufacturer in Mount Forest is requesting Grey County’s approval to expand plant operations.
Viking-Cives is seeking a county official plan amendment involving about 7.6 hectares for “a new 3,900 m2 manufacturing building (with additional space to accommodate a future 3,900 m2 expansion),” the report to county council Thursday said.

The amendment request, submitted by H. Bye Construction, would also provide for “448 truck body staging spots where finished products are parked until they are shipped or delivery is taken.”
