About 100 people gathered in a parking lot Friday morning, shivering and chatting below the large unmistakable spark logo as shoppers walked in and out.

“Now, let’s be honest — during a remodel, you never really know where anything is,” said Dana Ellsworth, the Trinity Point Walmart store manager. “One day you’re in toys, the next you’re in produce, wondering when we started selling bicycles next to the bananas.

“But today we can all take a moment to appreciate this beautiful new store, the hard work that made it possible and the bright future ahead of us.”

Walmart on Trinity Point Drive in Washington County reopened this morning with a facelift. Ms. Ellsworth began her career there 14 years ago, and this is the store’s first remodel since, she said. The location is one of more than 650
