Authorities have arrested a man who they believe touched his private parts in a public movie theater during a showing of a family movie, Burbank police told NBC Los Angeles Friday.

Nicholas Astrinaki, 42, was arrested at the AMC 16 in downtown Burbank after several moviegoers, including children, witnessed and complained about him, police said.

The alleged lewd conduct was committed during a showing of the “Casper” 30th anniversary re-release.

Law enforcement sources told NBC Investigates that Astrinaki, a La Crescent resident, was confronted by people inside the theater. When it was escalated to a verbal altercation, theater employees called police to take him into custody.
