A man who is accused of trying to rob a man of his Rolex at gunpoint in West Hollywood was charged with felony crimes, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office told NBC Los Angeles exclusively Friday.

Samuel Crawford, 21, faced three charges, including a second-degree robbery and carrying a loaded firearm on a person.

Crawford jumped out of a car on Sweetzer Avenue Wednesday afternoon and tried to steal the luxury watch from a retired professional athlete, investigators said earlier this week.
