OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is cracking down on abandoned vehicles.

Deputies say they’ve recently received a number of complaints about commercial vehicles left in neighborhoods.

The DCSO warns any vehicle left unattended on public property for more than 48 hours is subject to towing.

If the vehicle does not have plates, you cannot leave it for more than six hours before it is considered abandoned.
