BOSTON —
With more than 1 million Massachusetts residents expected to lose access to their SNAP benefits next month , some local organizations may be able to offer support.
One in three Massachusetts households experienced food insecurity last year, according to the Greater Boston Food Bank's Cost of Hunger in Massachusetts 2025 report.
The United Way of Massachusetts Bay has created a response fund for those in need of assistance, and the state is working to get more food to local food banks, Gov. Maura Healey said.
