LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A western Lincoln County man was arrested Friday after being accused of possessing child sexual abuse material.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office began investigating Nolan Nance, of Vale, alongside the FBI. Search warrants were executed Oct. 1 on Nance's residence as well as his person. Multiple electronic devices were seized.
Upon execution of search warrants, deputies say illegal images were found on devices belonging to Nance, 43. He was charged with eight counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a child and eight counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
Nance was taken into custody Friday without incident, and was given a $250,000 secured bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
