Park City leaders on Thursday briefly addressed the shutdown of the federal government, inquiring whether City Hall could have a role in assisting people impacted by the impasse in Washington.

Mayor Nann Worel and the Park City Council were not scheduled to talk about the topic and did not hold a detailed discussion. The comments were notable, though, with the shutdown continuing even if there are not widespread impacts from the closure of the federal government in Park City or surrounding Summit County.

City Councilor Jeremy Rubell inquired about whether there was the possibility of municipal assistance.
