LEXINGTON, S.C. — A Lexington Two school bus was struck from behind by a car Thursday afternoon while transporting students home, district officials said.
School district officials said the crash happened on Fish Hatchery Road as the bus was on its afternoon route. At the time of the crash, roughly 20 students were on the bus waiting to be dropped off at their stops.
The school district said school and district personnel, along with emergency responders, arrived quickly at the scene. Medical personnel evaluated all student riders on site, the district added.
Officials said at least two students were taken for further medical evaluation, though no serious injuries have been reported at this time.
