Children’s Tumor Foundation is hosting a fundraiser walk to help end NF, an incurable group of genetic conditions that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body.

The event, called the Shine a light Walk Arizona, runs from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday, Nov. 2 at Chaparral Park, 5401 Hayden Road.

While patients often appear perfectly healthy, NF can lead to blindness, bone abnormalities, learning disabilities, motor delays, and cancer. In many cases, NF tumors are impossible to remove - and pediatricians are puzzled by symptoms, according to a press release.

Phoenix Children’s is a local mission sponsor and live music will be provided by School of Rock Scottsdale.
