Investigators on Friday sought a motorist involved in a hit-and-run that left a pedestrian seriously injured in El Cajon.

The westbound sedan struck a 63-year-old woman at Main and Orlando streets at about 10 p.m. Thursday, according to the El Cajon Police Department .

Following the crash, the motorist continued driving and left the area, Lt. Joe Crawford said. Paramedics took the victim to a hospital for treatment of severe injuries.
