A 4-year-old boy is in critical condition after being rescued from a pond Thursday morning in Lancaster County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Troopers were dispatched around 10 a.m. to the 1000 block of Mine Road in Salisbury Township after the boy fell into a body of water on the property.
EMS responded and transported him to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition. No further details were provided by police.
The area is rural with farmland and barns.
