A Suffolk County Superior Court Jury convicted an Irish firefighter of raping a woman in 2024 following a second trial on the charge.
Terence Crosbie, 39, a firefighter from Dublin, Ireland, was convicted of rape in Boston on Friday. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 30.
“We’re absolutely elated,” prosecutor Erin Murphy told reporters following the verdict. “From the very beginning we both credited and supported the survivor in this case who bravely came forward after becoming a victim of sexual violence.”
Crosbie was charged with raping a woman at the Omni Parker House hotel on School Street in downtown Boston in March 2024 while he was visiting the city for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. He was tried earlier but that ended in a hung jury.
