One day after a jury found Trevor McEuen guilty of murdering Aaron Martinez and handed a sentence of life in prison, Salvador Martinez reflects on the trial.

Salvador is Aaron's father.

"It's not justice. Justice is only for the law," Salvador said.

While Salvador does feel peace with the trial's outcome, he explained his pain as a father.

"Justice means it's when you get your son back. It's not gonna happen. Nothing is gonna be the same like before."

Investigators told the jury that Aaron had more than 30 gunshot wounds.

Salvador told NBC 5 he remembers hearing dozens of gunshots fired. He would later walk up to the scene and see his son unrecognizable.
