PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Amira Brown was overcome with emotion on Friday afternoon as she remembered her son, Steven Dreuitt , who tragically died in the medical jet crash in Northeast Philadelphia back in January.

Dreuitt was in a car with his girlfriend, Dominique Goods-Burke , when the jet crashed into a parking lot near the Roosevelt Mall. Dominique died from her injuries months later.

"It's not easy, and I'm definitely struggling," said Brown.

Also in the car that night was Amira's grandson, Ramesses Vazquez. He suffered burns on over 90% of his body and is still undergoing skin graft surgeries at a Boston-area children's hospital, where his mother lives.

"Ramesses just had his tenth birthday, and he cried," said Brown.
