LANE COUNTY, Ore. - Lane County Sheriff’s Search & Rescue (SAR) continues its search for 76-year-old Jean Fritz Pierre Louis of Oakridge. Louis went missing early last week in the Salmon Creek area east of Oakridge.

LCSO officials said that searchers have been rappelling into hard-to-reach areas and navigating dense vegetation. Linn County Sheriff’s SAR is also assisting in the search effort.

Despite ongoing efforts for Louis, SAR volunteers have been responding to other lost subject calls. Many volunteers have been working tirelessly to assist in these rescues.

On Oct. 22, SAR responded to an overdue mushroom picker in the McGowan Creek area. The search continued overnight, and the individual was located and assisted back to their vehicle the next morning.
