BALL, La. (KALB) - Zowii Wales, a senior Tioga High School cheerleader, always makes sure to put a little extra sparkle and spirit into everything she does.
“I love my team,” said Wales. “I love cheering at Tioga.”
“She is a senior, so she does get to kind of be a little bit of a leader,” said fellow senior cheerleader Lauren Taylor. “She definitely does lead in her own way, and I’m so glad the cheer team has been able to accept her in with open arms.”
Zowii was born with Down Syndrome and for the past four years has been a beloved member of the Indians’ cheer squad.
“Zowii adds a lot of flair to our routines,” said senior cheerleader Emma Futrell. “I think it’s definitely a new concept. We don’t really see a lot of schools around here, at least, that have a cheerleader like Zowii. Sh
