WOODBINE, Iowa —
Fur farmers are calling a massive mink release an "act of terror."
A group released more than 1,000 minks from a farm near Woodbine, Iowa.
According to a release from the fur commission, the group cut through fencing and destroyed the animal housing.
The farmer, his son, and grandson recovered about half of the minks.
The FBI is now investigating the incident.
Interfering with or damaging an animal enterprise is considered terrorism under federal law.
