After two mom’s found themselves in a tricky situation when dining at a restaurant that didn’t have a change table, they’re taking matters into their own hands to share information.
Recently, Portia Zaffaroni had to change eight month old Cosmo on a bench outside a Victoria restaurant that lacked a changing table.
“Most moms bring their own change pads, and all their equipment, and everything like that. They just want a stable place to put their baby, right? And I don’t think that is really too much to ask for,” Zaffaroni said.
Providing change tables is not a requirement for businesses in B.C., unless it’s located in a new building designed to serve more than 500-people.
That discrepancy can create stress for new parents heading out with their babies.
