BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A new shopping center is under construction in southwest Bakersfield, according to the city of Bakersfield.

The shopping center will be located on the south side of Harris Road just west of Gosford Road. City officials said the Castle and Cooke project is being referred to as "Crossroads."

City officials said Target has been confirmed as the anchor store. Other possible tenants and a timeline for opening and completion are unknown.
