DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - The Duluth Children’s Dental Services hub is now running at full capacity to help children in Duluth and the surrounding area.
They are hoping to help over 20,000 patients in the region.
This includes parents like Kelsi Gonzalez, who struggled in the past to get dental care for her kids because of her insurance.
“When you’re trying everything, you can, and places are not accepting you because the only insurance you can afford is state-run, it does feel a bit personal,” said Gonzalez.
This is one of the many dental health barriers that Dental Children’s Service wants to overcome with this hub.
“It’s really about creating an efficient, holistic model of expanding access to dental care,” said Children’s Dental Services Executive Director Sarah Wovcha.
