CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Police are investigating a hit-and-run that killed a pedestrian last week on Highway 42 near Sunset Hills Boulevard.

Officers responded around 8:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, after receiving a report of someone struck by a vehicle, according to the Clayton County Police Department.

Investigators believe the collision happened between 11 p.m. and midnight Thursday, Oct. 16.

Police said the driver did not stop after the crash.

The vehicle is believed to be dark gray or black with damage to the front passenger side and mirror.
