FORT WORTH, Texas — As expected, the state taking over Fort Worth ISD has left a lot of uncertainty about the future, especially among some teachers at the district.
Questions from teachers immediately began pouring into the United Educators Association. Steven Poole said his team represents more than 6,000 Fort Worth ISD employees and helps them with all employment-related matters.
“We were swamped yesterday with phone calls and emails," Poole said. "A lot of concern of what’s next for Fort Worth ISD, what’s next for their schools, their students and themselves."
Poole said the concern is rooted in what many do not yet know.
